Elizabeth Nunez -Conductor

Elizabeth created and directs the Young Peoples’ Chorus of NYC Cantare Chorus and serves as vocal coach for YPC divisions. As the director of the YPC Satellite Schools program, she works with NYC Public Schools to bring a choral experience to almost 900 children annually.  Since joining YPC in 2004, Mrs. Nunez has led Cantare at International Choral Festivals in Kathaumixw, British Columbia and Llangollen, Wales. She made her conducting debut at Carnegie Hall with YPC and the New York Pops in 2007 and sang the soprano solos for Mendelssohn’s “A Mid-Summer Night’s Dream” at the Metropolitan Opera in 2007 and 2010.  She is also the co-founder and artistic director of the Soharmoniums. As a choral clinician, she gives workshops around the country and locally.  Mrs. Nunez received her Masters Degree in Music Education from the Univ. of Oklahoma and completed her undergraduate studies at Lee University.


Lindsay Bogaty -
Conductor

Lindsay is Conductor of the SoHo Voce.  As an alumna of YPC (Young People’s Chorus of NYC ) she has performed in major music venues, in choral concerts and competitions world-wideas both a chorus member and a featured soprano soloist.  She made her Metropolitan Opera debut in 2012 and reprised the role in 2014.  Her Carnegie Hall debut was in 2013.  She is an events coordinator, vocal instructor and mentor with YPC.

Michele Mestman - 
Pianist

Michele is a freelance collaborative pianist who performs in chamber music and duo-piano concerts.  She has been an accompanist for the Young People’s Chorus of NYC from the beginning, the bass-baritone Matthew Curran, Lisa Lubin’s voice studio in Livingston NJ, and for various local schools.  She attended William Paterson College and Mannes College of Music.

Taisiya Pushkar -  Pianist A 'graceful pianist', Taisiya enjoys a vibrant career as a collaborative pianist, most notably performing with the cellist Amber Docters van Leeuwen. Together, the duo debuted at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, and at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. In NYC, Taisiya plays with Melodia Women's Choir, the YPC, and this season, with the SoHarmoniums. Dr. Pushkar received her BA from Oberlin College and her MM and DMA from the Manhattan School of Music.
